ERL NETWORK

EDUCATIONAL ROLE OF LANGUAGE NETWORK – scope

MAIN IDEA. Prompted by the success of ERL Conferences, we have been constructing a platform supporting cooperation between academics working on issues at the intersection of pedagogy and language. We hope to build a world-wide circle of researchers aiding one another on a regular basis. One of the aims of the ERL conferences is to provide room for live meetings of these academics.

PARTICIPATING CIRCLE. So far, 92 academics from 26 states (Australia, Bulgaria, Denmark, England, Florida, Greece, Hawaii, Hungary, Iceland, Japan, Kenya, Lithuania, Northern Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of South Africa, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Vietnam, Wales) have joined (by filling in a participant form available on our conference website). Some of them have participated in some or all of ERL Conferences, whilst others we hope to meet in the future.

EDUCATIONAL ROLE OF LANGUAGE NETWORK - activity

On a wider scale: FUNDED PROJECTS. Through regular collaboration, the ERL Network aims at joint grant applications in the interdisciplinary field of linguistics and education grants. Ideas have been shared and discussed via a shared SPREADSHEET (to request access, please write at educationalroleoflanguage@gmail.com).

On a narrower scale: SHARED RESEARCH. The other objective of the ERL Network is to spark shared research by individual academics and/or small teams within the circle. If you carry out research intersecting educational and linguistic sciences, do email us at the address shown above.
